Kim got himself a nice Kreidler LF from 1968, it has a 3 speed engine and a massive oil leak. The leak came from the gearshifter which rests underneath the engine. On this old model the whole engine needs to be stripped for parts, to access the damaged oilseal. So that was our mission, but more tasks came along the way.
We found metal debris in the gearbox, a snapring had come loose and destroyed a piece of the first gear sprocket. I had some matching spare parts, so we could continue with the engine overhaul. All bearings, seals and gaskets where renewed.
