The FS1 is finished, i just need to make some final adjustments 🙂
It sounds like it runs too rich, but that’s just because the engine isn’t 100% hot yet. My first test drive actually revealed that it needs a larger main jet.
Yamaha FS1 assembly
One of the best parts of a restoration is the assembly, enjoy the pictures in the gallery. I’ve commented most of the pictures, so make sure to check for them at the bottom of each picture.
My tank and side panels are at the painters right now, i gave up doing my own paintwork with plasti dip.
Painting my Yamaha FS1
Did alot of paintwork this weekend. Painted alot of parts black, and started to paint the coloured parts with plasti dip. I didn’t use enough thinner for the tank, so i have to redo it, the surface was rough compared to the side panels.
FS1 sandblasted
Got some parts sandblasted today, and did alot of prepwork on various parts.

My friend Jesper did some welding on the frame, it had worn out holes for the center stand, worn front fork stops and a cracked exhaust braket.
Now it’s ready for sandblasting.
I’ve also painted the front wheel brake plate.

Yamaha FS1 frame
Since it has been a long time that i fixed the engine for my FS1, i thought is was time to get some work done on the frame. I will use this moped for our annual moped touring, so i better get going.
I’ve cleaned the parts and started to test fit some new used parts that i bought for this project.
